THE IMPORTANCE OF “ME” TIME

THE IMPORTANCE OF “ME” TIME

Did you ever see something in a shop, want it, and for whatever reason, not buy it? : Perhaps a book, a pair of shoes, or whatever. You felt that you could not spare the money that day, or were just indecisive.

When you arrived home you regretted the decision or the indecision. Next time you passed the shop, went in, and what you wanted was no longer there.

Did you ever not do something because “I am too busy”, like doing yoga, meditating, attending an important event or reading a special book?

You know that “I am too busy” is really an excuse. You can find time in the busiest day for a few minutes of silence to connect with the “inner You”, your higher self. We can all be more time efficient if we decide to be.

The three most important things in life according to Prahbu Darmayasa, Balinese spiritual leader, and co-founder of the Divine Love Society, are:

Health
Peace of Mind
Divine Love

He says that we ignore these “diamonds”.

It may not be your style but sometimes even the most “giving” person must put himself first. Make some “ME” time a priority, even five minutes a day, to be quiet and to look within, to listen.

If you only give, and never take for yourself, your life is out of balance. We all need balance.

Never again miss the rare opportunity to get what YOU need or want when you see it. It may never be offered again.

If it is important you, for once, put “ME” ahead of worrying that “But I should stay home to be with my partner today” or “I should not spend this money”, or “I don’t have time”.

These common thoughts / phrases will lead to lifelong regret of missed opportunity, and leave you out of balance and harmony.

ME time is your gift to your self to nurture your soul.

MEDITATION AND THE DISTRACTING THOUGHTS

MEDITATION AND THE DISTRACTING THOUGHTS

Is it ok if thoughts distract me in time of meditation? How can I prevent it?

When the mind is quiet, thoughts are most free to surface. That is why many good thoughts and ideas come at 5am. When the mind is busy they cannot get attention.

In meditation, for the majority of people, thoughts will distract you, as will unexpected sounds like music from a neighbour, a cat fight or whatever.

Don't fight them.
Deflect them past you.
Bring back you attention by repeating your mantra and focus on your heart centre or on your 3rd eye chakra.

But sometimes they hold my mind and occupy it, then I can’t get back to mantra and heart....

You can only repeat the manta loudest (internally) to drown out the sound, and feel you eyes looking with eyes closed at the heart centre. But the more energy you put towards the distracting thoughts or sounds, the more they affect you.

Don't make it a fight. Ignore them.

With practice it gets easier. Practice meditation daily even for a few minutes, and at least twice a week make the meditation at least 20 minutes.

After the iniciations of Saturday I can report things going bang in the night.

I have had a busy few days of spiritual activity.

Last night I woke at about 3.30 and thought that as a communicator I should start a talk / workshop 2012 - "what to expect"

A few minutes later I was dozing off and suddenly the door opened. I felt a cold shiver through my body and after shutting it asked who is there.

A few minutes later, lying on my back with hands on 2nd and 3rd chakras, I felt a cold chill come down my head, neck, torso and into my legs which vibrated, especially knees while the legs felt almost numb.

Again I asked who there, and was it snake, jaguar, humingbird, eagle. I heard no reply. (I had a shamanic attunement on Saturday)

Perhaps my guide or spirit was confirming validity of the communication workshop and a new source of income?

*************

Hi David, this is a great time of re-attunement of our vibrations and frequencies. We are no longer able to stay in that which has been so familiar to us.
I think that from the attunement you had on Saturday you were being reprogrammed and opened ready to receive the new frequencies. We think ok we are ready and we are working with the energy and then they open new doors for us.
It sounds to me that the power animals were part of that new frequency for you. You just need to tune into their energies to find out who is working with you now, maybe one or maybe more. You will have what you need right now.
Maybe during meditation tomorrow you will receive a little more information.
Look forward to seeing you. Bye for now.

Personal meditation and explanation

I went to the meditation group in Mojacar last night and wrote this afterwards:

The meditation took me to a dark, safe place where I floated, then drifted across to the place in the woods by Rishikesh where the Baba lived in his tent house, and his followers sat waiting for words of wisdom. I drifted back and forth between the two.

Lin said that the dark safe place is “no thing” place, like zen. A good place to relax, and rest and think, and revisit.

Going to the Baba shows my quest for more wisdom in a relaxed way. Lin says I will go again to India and could become like the Baba, full of wisdom, but keeping much inside until it is needed. Perhaps even the loin cloth! My choice of course. She is sure that I was in India in a previous life and sees a Sai Baba look alike guide with me (more than once). Perhaps that is why I had to go to India this year to reconnect.

Lucy says:

Certainly, you will go more and more in search for that inner peace and
tranquility............................
It seems India has had a big impact on you, as it has on many people...
Am sending you much healing Love...
